Cost Share Type

 

The Cost Share Type maintenance document is used to establish and maintain numeric codes and textual description values which are stored in database tables.  This data serves as reference information that is made available for display and selection in various areas of the system, including other e-docs.  Cost Sharing Types specify the categories of cost sharing that might be committed on a sponsored project.  Cost sharing types are used and tracked on the Cost Share section of the Commitments page, located in the Awards e-doc.

Existing Value Modification Caution:  It is okay to change existing values, but you should keep in mind that it may impact feeds to financial systems (if any).

Edit Cost Share Type Section

The Edit Cost Share Type section of the Cost Share Type maintenance document is a unique section that allows you to specify and maintain the details associated with the reference table record in fields.

Cost Share Type Code

Enter a numeric value to uniquely identify the cost share type in the system.

Description

Type the name of the cost share type as it is commonly referred to.  Click within the text box (or press the tab  key from a previous field) to relocate the cursor to the field, and then type (or paste from virtual clipboard) to enter text in the box as necessary to provide the appropriate information.
