Person Details

 

The Person Details subsection displays the Protocol Role you selected when adding the person (which you can change via a drop-down list), an Affiliation Type field (which you can change via a drop-down list), and an automatically-populated Investigator Requirements field to indicate whether education and conflict of interest requirements are complete (as identified in the Person Training maintenance document).

Protocol Role

Required. Represents the person’s role in the research. The role can be modified by selecting a different value from the drop-down list and then clicking Update View. Available roles include Co-PI Student/Fellow/Resident; Key Personnel; Non-Key, Interacting; Non-Key, Not Interacting; or Principal Investigator.

Affiliation Type

Required.  Use the drop-down menu to select one of the following affiliation types for each person listed.

  • IU: the system defaults to this affiliation type for all persons added from the IU User ID search.

 

For persons added from the KC Address Book, choose from the following options:

  • Affiliated:  person is employed by one of IU’s affiliated organizations.  These include:

 

  • Health & Hospital Corporation of Marion County

    • Bell Flower Clinic

    • Midtown Mental Health

    • Eskenazi Health

  • Indiana Minority Health Coalition

  • Indiana State Department of Health

  • Indiana University Health (IU Health), including:

    • Arnett Hospital

    • Ball Memorial Hospital

    • Bedford Hospital

    • Blackford Hospital

    • Bloomington Hospital

    • Beltway Centers

    • Central Indiana Cancer Centers

    • Goshen Hospital

    • LaPorte Hospital

Investigator Requirements Complete

View-only. Value is automatically-populated to indicate whether the person has completed all required training* for their role, as identified in the Person Training maintenance document.


* Required training includes: CITI (Collaborative Institutional Training Initiative) and COI (Conflict of Interest) Disclosure

 

  • Yes = if person has IU User ID and has completed both CITI and COI
  • No = if person has IU User ID and has not completed CITI and/or COI.  The system will identify what part of the training requirements have not been met.
    • No (Missing COI training)
    • No (Missing CITI training)
    • No (Missing COI and CITI training)
  • Manual Check = if person does not have IU User ID and was added through the KC Address Book. This prompts HSO staff to confirm training requirements manually.
  •  

    The Person folder label also indicates whether requirements have been completed.  If applicable requirements have been met, the name will appear in green text with a check mark after.  If one or more requirements are still outstanding, the name will appear in red text with an “X” after.  If a manual check is needed, the name will appear in black text.

The Contact Information subsection displays the contact information from the database record for the person you selected/added.  Information changed or added in this section will remain only with the particular protocol and will not populate throughout the KC system.
