Other Direct

The Other Direct section of the Non-Personnel page is a budget category that allows you to select an object code, add an optional description and quantity, and enter the total base cost of that line item and then click a button to add these selection/entries as a numbered line item in a table format within the section.

Field	Description
Object Code Name	A unique descriptor and corresponding identification number within a financial system used to identify the type of cost. Also known as Cost Element Name. The cost category description for the Other Direct cost element.
Description	Enter up to 200 alphanumeric characters for a detailed explanation for each cost line item, using the expand text area icon as necessary.
Quantity	The amount of purchasable items within each Expense line item/object code.
Total Base Cost	The amount being requested for each Expense line item. This value represents the overall value for all Quantities listed within each line item.
Action	Click add or delete as necessary for line item specification.
Line Item Details subsection	Click show to expand the display of detail based on your added line.
Rate Classes subsection	Click show to expand the display of rate classes based on your added line.
