Project Reports

Technical reports are the responsibility of the project director. Many grant documents either include the report information or incorporate, by reference, the document that contains the information detailing required reports. Interim reports may be required, and it is a rare agency that does not require a final technical report, usually within 90 days after the end of the project. Some agencies require the submission of the technical report along with the final fiscal report.
Fiscal reports are the responsibility of Financial Management Support (FMS) and are submitted as required by the granting agency. The nature of the reporting process may require that FMS contact the project director or account manager before the report can be prepared. There may be outstanding orders that need to be cleared before the report can be submitted, or the report may need the signature of the project director or the account manager.

It is imperative that all technical and fiscal reports are submitted by their due dates or that approval for late submissions is obtained from the sponsoring agency. Failure to do so may jeopardize future funding from the agency.
